Richard J. Byrne
Chief Executive Officer
Richard co-founded TowerCo in 2004 with a simple vision of creating a pure-play tower company. He has served as president
and chief executive officer and been a member of the board of directors from its beginning. Prior to that, he served as president
of the tower division of SpectraSite Communications, which grew from 125 towers to more than 8,000 during his tenure. He served
as national director of business development at Nextel Communications Inc. and was responsible for bringing the industry's first
major portfolio of wireless carrier towers to market. Byrne started his wireless career performing site acquisition for
AT&T Wireless (then McCaw Cellular) in the NY MTA. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of PCIA, the wireless
infrastructure trade association, and Helios Towers Africa.
Chief Operating Officer
Scot co-founded TowerCo with Richard Byrne and shares the vision of being a simple company focused on tower ownership and
meeting the customer's needs. Before that, he served as executive vice president of sales and marketing at Global Signal Inc.,
a Sarasota, Florida–based company. He also was vice president of sales at SpectraSite. Scot started his career in wireless as
an outside contractor performing site acquisition, zoning and construction management for most of the major wireless carriers
in the Southeast.
Chief Financial Officer
Dan was the TowerCo founders first hire, joining the company on day one. Just prior to joining, he was the chief financial
officer of Tompkins Associates Inc., a supply chain consulting firm owned by Sun Capital. Before joining Tompkins, Hunt served
as vice president of finance at SpectraSite. Dan graduated from Wake Forest with a degree in accounting, became a CPA and joined
Arthur Andersen. After that he worked for Wandel & Goltermann, a public company that supplied test equipment to telecom and data
Vice President of Sales
Todd joined TowerCo in April 2005. Prior to that he spent six years at SpectraSite serving as director of sales for the North
Region, as well as holding other sales management positions. Todd began his career in wireless working on a number of carrier
build outs throughout the United States for SBA Communications and Nextel in various site development roles.
